Second Chance Breakfast

Students may have breakfast if they miss it before school. Our cafeteria will serve breakfast again during the morning recess. Enrollment Information

 

Kindergarten registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2013-2014 school year starts March 1, 2013 for children who will be 5 years of age on or before October 1, 2013. To register, please bring the items listed below to your local school office.

 

What to Bring to Register

1) Birth certificate, or another reliable document stating the child’s identity and age (such as a passport, school record, military ID, hospital birth record, adoption record or baptismal certificate) - Student mus be age 5 by October 1st. 

2) Current immunization (shot) record

3) Proof of your residency: residential service order, current utility bill (cell phone bills not accepted), verified rent receipt.

4) Child’s social security number (optional)

5) Name and address of previous school

6) Physical exam (physicals are required for first grade but we strongly encourage parents to get the physical examination when their child enters kindergarten.) Shots must be current.

 

How to Enroll

To enroll students for any grade level, please bring the following required documents and enrollment forms to your school of residence.

To find your school of residence, use the School Finder (left panel). Enrollment documents can be downloaded from this page (right panel).

Required documents: 

  • BIRTH CERTIFICATE or PASSPORT--student must be age 5 by October 1. To view the California Education Code for Kindergarten enrollment. Click on the following link: www.cde.ca.gov/ci/gs/em/kinderinfo.asp 

  • IMMUNIZATION RECORD--5 year shots must be completed prior to enrolling in Kindergarten. (Click here for Immunization Requirements )

  • TDAP or the DTP booster (required for Grades 7-12). 

  • PROOF OF PHYSICAL EXAMINATION (If enrolling in 1st grade).  

  • PROOF OF RESIDENCE--utility bill or rent receipt dated within the last 30 days.  (Cell phone bills are not acceptable).

  • TRANSCRIPT--Students entering grades 10-12 MUST provide a transcript

  • TRANSFER APPROVAL FORM, if the student is a non-resident of the school

  • NAME AND ADDRESS OF PREVIOUS SCHOOL

Por favor vaya a su escuela de residencia o escuela de transferencia aprobada (traiga los papeles de la transferencia con usted) para inscribirse. Para matricular a su(s)  estudiante(s) por favor traiga la siguiente información:

  • Acta/Cartilla de nacimiento

  • Cartilla de vacunas actualizada

  • Prueba de domicilio: factura de servicio residencial, recibo de servicios públicos (el recibo del teléfono celular no se acepta), recibo de renta/arrendamiento que este verificado.  (entre los ultimos 30 dias)

  • Número de seguro social del estudiante (opcional)

  • Nombre y domicilio de la escuela previa

  • Examen físico (los exámenes físicos son requeridos para el primer grado pero recomendamos encarecidamente a los padres a conseguir el examen físico cuando su niño entra al kínder.) Las vacunas deben estar al corriente

Highland Uniform and MPUSD Dress For Success Policy

Highland Uniform Policy

Highland is a uniform school. Students are to wear navy blue pants or skirts and white or navy collared shirts to school every day.

 

Highland es una escuela en la cual los estudiantes asisten con uniforme todos los días y se compone de la siguiente manera: pantalón, falda, short azul marino y blusa con cuello blanca o azul marino.

• Shirts with logos and caps/hats are not allowed.

Please make an appointment with the principal if you have questions about the uniforms.
